Владимир Федорович Вальков — доктор биологических наук, профессор РГУ, один из виднейших на Юге России специалистов в области почвоведения и экологии.
Он прошёл блокаду Ленинграда, исследовал почвы от Кубани до Кубы, а его научная школа живёт и сегодня — в проектах Академии биологии и биотехнологии ЮФУ, которые меняют отношение к земле и к будущему.
